    Hi,

    I’m interested in archery, no previous experience. Do you guys provide bows to shoot with? If not what do you suggest? I’d like to practice shooting for a bit before I buy anything.

    I’d suggest coming out to the range some weekend. You’ll meet archers and get to see the type of gear they use. There are many different types of bows and styles of shooting.

    Don’t expect anyone to let you shoot their bow. A bow is a very personal tool, sized and tuned to a particular person. The club does have 3 genesis bows that can be loaned out. They are appropriate for young archers, but are too light for an adult.

    Another place to do research is the Island Archer. They can measure you for a bow and show you a variety of bows and equipment. They can also sell relatively inexpensive “kits” which include all you will need to start launching arrows. The Island Archer also support the sport of archery in Hawaii.

    For the up and coming state tounament are there any Pre-qulifications (fees, applications, forms.) of any kind before the shoot? Or, just show up and every things a GO?
